The HG 2000 incorporates two patented manifold systems. Haygain's patented manifold system distributes high-temperature steam evenly throughout the forage inside a double-walled, thermally sealed hay chest. Steaming achieves and maintains temperatures above 80°C, which is necessary to kill mold spores and bacteria.

The new Haygain Steam Generator:The Haygain 2.6 kW features an integrated timer, ensuring the steamer operates only for the programmed duration – for increased safety and energy efficiency.
- A new selector switch now allows you to individually select the boiler control:
- Timer Mode– Use the integrated timer for straightforward, automatic steaming cycles.
- External Control Mode– Disable the internal timer, making the device fully compatible with an external timer switch – ideal if you want to plan steaming cycles in advance.
With a capacity of 7.7 litres, the steam generator is designed for daily use. It also features a "run-dry" alarm and a warning light that prevents overheating if the water level is too low.
